EnvyRState Challenge overview

The EnvyRState application is intended for the Challenge ‘New insights into economics and finance’ of the EU Datathon 2019. We have selected a number of public databases and a couple of private databases in order to provide a complete tool for visualising and analysing different effects of the real-estate market on the environment. Visualization and analysis tools include:

We have developed an app with interactive visualisations that provide insights to citizens, public authorities and businesses. We have used mainly data from EUROSTAT, but combined with data from other competition’s partners and third parties. Next you can find the complete list of databases used in the application. The House Price Index (HPI) measures inflation in the residential property market. The HPI captures price changes of all kinds of residential property purchased by households (flats, detached houses, terraced houses, etc.), both new and existing. Only market prices are considered, self-build dwellings are therefore excluded. The land component of the residential property is included.
